  Our Students paraded with joy around the school as their favorite Characters today! 🧛‍♂️🧛🏻‍♀️Thank you to all of the parents who came to show us love💙💛, the staff who did an amazing job supporting the event⭐️, and the 110Pct @nypd for escorting and keeping us all safe👮‍♂️👮‍♀️. Also, a special thank you to the students of @loyolanyc for donating costumes to our children in need.🫶🎃Students were also invited to our very first “Pumpkin Patch” event provided and facilitated by @ps16qcommonpoint 🎃 Thank you for continuing to uplift our community.❤️

  Our Commonpoint Nutritional Parent Workshop was a HUGE success! 💙💛 Parents learned about the importance of the choices we make for ourselves and our children when it comes to what we put inside of our bodies. 🍎🍏 We would also like to thank the students of @loyolanyc and our staff members who donated costumes for our students in need of one🫶💫 Thank you for making the effort to help them enjoy this special day🥰

  🌟 Empowered Voices, Inspiring Change! 🌟
  Yesterday, our incredible Civics Squad had the amazing opportunity to welcome NYC Council Member Francisco Moya @cmfranciscomoya into our school! 🎉 Our student leaders took the reins, sharing their thoughts and ideas not only on how to improve our school community but also the surrounding neighborhood of Corona, Queens.
  
  It was truly inspiring to see our students advocate for the changes they want to see, taking ownership of their voices and pushing for action! 🙌 They discussed pressing issues and shared their dreams for our community, empowering themselves and their peers in the process.
  
  We are so grateful for this chance to connect with NYC Council Member Francisco Moya, who listened intently to our students’ concerns and shared concrete next steps to support their visions. 💪 Excitingly, he’s even planning to return for a Town Hall with families, alongside the 110 precinct, so we can keep the conversation going and work towards real solutions together!

  Ayer en P.S. 16Q, ¡nuestro increíble Civics Squad tuvo la maravillosa oportunidad de dar la bienvenida al Miembro del Concejal de NYC, Francisco Moya @cmfranciscomoya, a nuestra escuela! 🎉 Nuestros líderes estudiantiles tomaron las riendas, compartiendo sus pensamientos e ideas no solo sobre cómo mejorar nuestra comunidad escolar, sino también el vecindario de Corona, Queens.
  
  Fue verdaderamente inspirador ver a nuestros estudiantes abogando por los cambios que desean ver, tomando control de sus voces y promoviendo la acción. 🙌 Discutieron problemas urgentes y compartieron sus sueños para nuestra comunidad, empoderándose a sí mismos y a sus compañeros en el proceso.
  
  Estamos muy agradecidos por esta oportunidad de conectarnos con el Miembro del Concejal de NYC, Francisco Moya, quien escuchó atentamente las inquietudes de nuestros estudiantes y compartió pasos concretos para apoyar sus visiones. 💪 Además, ¡él está planeando regresar para una reunión comunitaria con las familias, junto al 110 precinct, para que podamos seguir la conversación y trabajar juntos hacia soluciones reales!
