  Commonpoint was proud to host New Life CDC at Community School P.S. 16 Queens for a special International Women’s Day celebration with our amazing parents! From refreshments to mindfulness yoga and tabletop painting, families came together to reflect on what brings them joy and meaning.
  
  Recognizing International Women’s Day is vital—it teaches the importance of equality, appreciation, and empowerment. By celebrating with our families, we strengthen the message that every generation plays a role in uplifting and honoring the contributions of women everywhere!

  A Huge Success: Our Inaugural STEM Expo!
  
  Our first-ever STEM Expo was a resounding success! Students showcased their innovative projects to peers, teachers, and families, fostering a school-wide culture of curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving. Hosting a STEM Expo at the elementary level is essential in nurturing young minds, as it promotes hands-on learning, critical thinking, collaboration, and inspires future careers in STEM fields.
  
  A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Rodriguez and our administration for championing STEM education in our school community. We also extend our deepest gratitude to Ms. DeRose and Ms. Pfluger for their dedication and hard work in organizing this milestone event—it was no small feat! To our teachers and students, your projects, presentations, and passion for STEM made this event truly remarkable. A special thanks to all the staff members who contributed to making the Expo a memorable experience. And of course, we sincerely appreciate the families who attended and supported our students.

  Today, our Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd-grade students had the privilege of attending a special author visit! The talented @kianny.antigua captivated everyone with her charismatic and heartfelt presence. Just as her books resonate with readers, Ms. Antigua’s warmth and relatability shine through in person, leaving our students inspired by her visit and personalized book signings.
  
  We extend our sincere gratitude to Ms. Rodriguez for creating an opportunity for our students to feel seen, heard, and empowered. A special thank you to Ms. Antigua for providing such a memorable and inspiring experience. We hope to welcome you back soon!

  Our Self-Care Self-Love Parent Workshop was AMAZING! We loved seeing each and every family attending.
